On Thursday, April 30, 2026, Alvas Showroom will host the debut of renowned Mexican-American pianist and composer Irving Flores. In a special performance celebrating International Jazz Day, Flores presents an explosive Afro-Cuban Quartet format featuring a powerhouse rhythm section. Fresh off the success of his 2025 release, Armando Mi Conga—recognized as one of the Top 5 Latin Jazz albums of the year—Flores returns to the stage with a conceptually driven set. The evening will highlight the piano as a lead melodic voice through a repertoire that bridges the past and future of the genre.
A Night of Premieres and Tributes:
The performance will feature a sophisticated selection of Flores’ favorite composers, reimagined through his signature “fiery” arrangements. Fans will also be treated to live renditions of tracks from Armando Mi Conga, alongside an exclusive sneak peek of brand-new original compositions from his recently recorded album, set for official release later in 2026.
