Modern Jazz
Keyon Harrold is a visionary trumpeter, vocalist, composer, producer, and activist redefining contemporary jazz and beyond. Signed to Concord Jazz, his career is a spectrum of greatness. From touring and recording with Jay-z and Cirque Du Soleil to being signed by legendary Rapper Nas, and is a frequent collaborator with artists Robert Glasper, YEBBA, Maxwell, Common, and Gregory Porter. Currently the Artistic Advisor for Jazz St. Louis, Harrold is also nominated for Best Alternative Jazz Album for this year’s GRAMMY’s. DownBeat Magazine hails him as “the future of the trumpet.”
Saxophonist Danny Janklow is an influential voice in contemporary music, blending the language of jazz with elements of R&B, funk, and indie soul. His performances are deeply personal, rooted in themes of equality, justice, and love. In 2021, Danny earned a Grammy Award for his contribution to MONK’estra Plays John Beasley and has collaborated on notable hip-hop tracks such as JID's Hereditary and EarthGang's Cocktails. A versatile artist, Danny has shared the stage with legendary icons like Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock, cementing his place as a dynamic force in modern music.
